We do this through honoring our public servants, teachers, the elderly, and anyone else who you might feel needs to feel loved.
Our family environments will be participating in Be Rich too as we get closer to the holidays and winter season! We encourage parents to teach their children about the importance of serving others and the difference that their donations make in the lives of others their age.
In the meantime, here are some ideas:
- Spend some time with your family making cards, writing notes of encouragement
- Create a box of snacks and drinks for mail and delivery persons
- Consider providing a meal or treats to a local police or fire station, school, or hospital/clinic
- Invite your neighbors or children's teacher to dinner with (or without) your family
- Offer to go on a walk with a friend who needs to talk and JUST LISTEN.
- Visit a nursing home or rehab center and offer to read a book, sing a song, play an instrument
- Create boxes with a gift card, sweet treat, and special note for local business owners
- Participate in a clothing or food drive
